Since the release of his first sneaker with Nike in 2023 (NOCTA x Nike Hot Step), Drake is set to drop another sneaker collab in 2024 reviving the Nike Air Zoom Drive. The Canadian rapper is continuing to bring his influence of music and pop culture to Nike’s sub-label clothing line, NOCTA, which stands for “nocturnal creative process”. This adds another versatile shoe to his collection that is a great choice for sneakerheads and athletes alike.

Nike originally introduced the Air Zoom Dive in 1999 as a performance fly weight training shoe that was designed to offer great value for the everyday runner. The upper features an almost entirely seamless dynamic power mesh textile construction for comfort and breathability. Air Zoom units offer support in the forefoot and heel. A moderator plate runs along the internal footbed to stabilize the ride while the phylon foam arch offers additional security. The outsole features BRS 1000 carbon rubber for enhanced traction.

Fast forwarding to today, Nike revealed official images of the NOCTA x Nike Air Zoom Drive in the black/white colorway. While the sneaker has a clearly recognizable silhouette of the original, subtle changes add a contemporary twist. NOCTA’s signature aggressive black color with white accents transforms the athletic shoe into an urban essential. Contrasting mesh and nylon uppers provide durability with an updated sleek look. Final touches of NOCTA branding are adorned on the tongues and heels.

The NOCTA x Nike Air Zoom Drive “Black/White” is reported to be released in Spring of 2024 with a retail price of $165. Be on the lookout on NOCTA’s website, NIke SNKRS, and select retailers as it is sure to sell out fast.
